PCD in Eurasier Dogs

The test examines whether the mutation (ZMYND10 c.860del) responsible for PCD is present.
The inheritance pattern is autosomal recessive, meaning that only animals with both genes caryying the mutation develop the disease.
Affected dogs show discharge, coughing and respiratory diseases already at an early puppy age. Application of the test:
- Determination of PCD status for breeding planning
- Differential diagnosis in dogs with PCD associated symptoms
